The Meitu is an advanced skin scanning device that takes a picture of the face, using 5 types of light rays:
- daylight : observes the outer skin layers, fine lines, phototype and skin color
- UV light : checks blockages, acne bacteria and the risk of acne breakouts
- Cross polarized light: checks for dilated blood vessels (rosacea) not visible to the eye
- parallel polarized light: shows skin texture, pore size and the appearance of the first fine lines and wrinkles
- wood light: captures high contrast image and checks the depth and characteristics of discolorations
Many skin conditions begin in the deeper layers of the skin. The Meitu skin scan can detect underlying skin disorders at an early stage, allowing our dermal clinicians to begin treatments even before the skin disorder is visible. Skin problems that are already visible are also recorded and diagnosed even better with Meitu’s skin scan. This allows our dermal clinicians to perfectly adapt treatment to each problem and provide the right product and lifestyle advice.
To get the best skin scan we would like to ask you to clean your skin at least 2 hours in advance with a mild cleanser without acids. Remove it thoroughly several times with water. Do not apply anything else to the skin.
