TCA Peeling
A TCA peel is a treatment in which dead skin cells are removed, and skin renewal occurs, revealing a new layer of skin. Your skin will look fresh and feel smooth after the treatment.
TCA Peeling is an effective procedure that involves the removal of the surface layer of the skin with the help of a solution of trichloroacetic acid. In this way, we release new, healthy, young skin, which has a better texture, and the complexion becomes even. TCA works by stimulating fibroblasts, the cells responsible for the creation of elastin, collagen and hyaluronan. In this way, the skin regenerates faster, collagen and elastin production gets stimulated, and the appearance of early signs of ageing is prevented. By removing the surface layer of the skin, impurities and accumulated dead skin cells, we enable the growth of new, young, healthy skin. Spots, hyperpigmentation and other imperfections are less noticeable on the new skin.
TCA peeling is intended for treating the skin on the face, neck, décolletage, hands, as well as other parts of the body. Depending on the problem of the skin, different solutions of TCA are used in concentrations from 15 to 80%.

Before the treatment, we thoroughly clean and disinfect the skin. After your skin is cleaned, the peeling is applied in layers until the desired depth is reached. After that, the “post-peel mask” is applied. This is a mask that inhibits the inflammatory process and soothes the skin. Within minutes, your skin becomes calm and pain-free again. You leave this mask on for the rest of the day; you do not wash your face until the next day.
Immediately after treatment, your skin is red and feels tight. After the initial redness fades from your skin, you’ll notice that your skin begins to feel tight. Throughout the next three days, the affected area will shed the skin that has been exposed to the TCA treatment. It’s normal for the peeling skin to come off in patches over the course of several days.
You may experience some ‘purging’ of any blemishes present under the surface before your peel. From day three to five, you will likely experience the worst peeling and flaking. In the last few days (day six-eight), the last flakes will fall off.
- For the first 24 hours after treatment, do not do anything to the skin, and do not wash or apply cream unless otherwise advised.

- After treatment, it is important to care for the skin with a restorative cream, such as Alhydran, to promote the healing process and allow the skin to heal more beautifully. Alhydran can be applied two to three times daily and can be purchased at the clinic.
- During the treatment process, it is important to avoid direct sunlight on the skin and tanning beds. It is essential to use daily sun protection with at least SPF50.
