Happy Intim Peel

The Happy Intim Peel is a Medical Device Class IIA TCA-based peel that renews the top layer of the skin, reducing minor skin damage such as pigmentation and scarring. - Avoid sun and tanning beds for four weeks prior to treatment.
- Stop using seven days before treatment: an exfoliant, retinol (vitamin A cream), hormone cream and hydroquinone.
- In case of symptoms such as fever or flu, you will not be treated.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, the treatment cannot be performed.
Before treatment, the treated area is disinfected. After that the dermal clinician applies the peel layer by layer until the desired skin reaction is visible. The Happy Intim Peel contains pain relief, making the treatment well tolerated. You may, however, experience slight tingling or a warm/burnt feeling. This feeling will fade away within a few minutes till a few hours after the treatment. A treatment with the Happy Intim Peel, consists of 2 sessions. These 2 sessions are performed 2-3 weeks apart. A series of 2-3 treatments is advised for significant skin improvement. To support the treatment and promote results, it is advised to apply the Happy Intim Lightening Cream twice daily for a minimum of 12 weeks following the treatment.
Immediately after treatment, the skin may be red and swollen. In addition, the skin may feel burning and itchy. On average, these skin reactions disappear within a few hours to 3 days. The days after treatment, when the skin is recovering, the skin may also itch. After about 3-5 days, the shedding process begins. From day 3 to 5, you will likely experience the worst peeling and flaking. In the last few days (day 6-14), the last flakes will fall off.
- For the first 24 hours after treatment, do not do anything to the skin, and do not wash or apply cream unless otherwise advised.
- For the first 48 hours, you should avoid heat sources such as sauna, swimming pool and intense exercise.
- Do not use scrubs and peels for the first two weeks after treatment.
- For the first three to seven days, do not use intensive, exfoliating products with acids in them, such as glycolic acid and salicylic acid and do not use retinol and hydroquinone.
- You should not scratch/pull at the scabs and/or peels.
- After treatment, it is important to care for the skin with a restorative cream, such as Alhydran, to promote the healing process and allow the skin to heal more beautifully. Alhydran can be applied two to three times daily and can be purchased at the clinic.
- During the treatment process, it is important to avoid direct sunlight on the skin and tanning beds. It is essential to use daily sun protection with at least SPF50.
