The HydraFacial treatment is suitable for any skin type and may be performed during any season. The treatment can be used for anyone who wants to give his or her skin an optimal boost. Even the most sensitive skin can tolerate this treatment. A HydraFacial treatment is suitable for the following areas: face, neck, décolleté, scalp (HydraFacial Keravive) and back.

• Stop using three to seven days before treatment: an exfoliant, retinol (vitamin A cream), hormone cream and hydroquinone.
• If you suffer from an active cold sore, you should not be treated and should wait until the cold sore is completely healed.
• Botox and/or filler treatments may be performed up to two weeks prior to treatment.
• Avoid facial treatments two to four weeks before treatment, such as strong chemical peels, micro-needling and CO2 laser
• In case of symptoms such as fever or flu, you will not be treated.

A HydraFacial treatment consists of the following four steps:

1. Cleaning and exfoliation:
   Cleansing the skin and removing dead skin cells in the upper layer of the skin (exfoliation).
2. Peeling:
   A mild exfoliation to remove dirt from the pores.
3. Extractions:
   Removing deep impurities.
4. Nutrition and hydration:
   Adding antioxidants and hyaluronic acid to nourish and protect the skin.

During the treatment, you may experience a tingling feeling. This sensation generally disappears within a few hours after the treatment.

You can upgrade your HydraFacial treatment to a Deluxe or Platinum treatment. With the Deluxe HydraFacial we add an extra booster that suits your skin, and we add LED therapy. With the Platinum treatment, we also add lymphatic therapy to detoxify the skin.

Immediately after treatment, the skin may be a little red and slightly swollen. The redness and swelling usually disappear within 48 hours. After the HydraFacial treatment, the skin immediately gets a glow and a healthy look. Depending on the booster used by your practitioner, it is possible that the skin can peel a little for the first few days after the treatment. It is recommended to use home care to prolong the result and take optimal care of the skin.

Immediately after the treatment, you can resume your daily activities. The treatment is painless and normally causes no irritation. Depending on the sensitivity of your skin, redness may be visible, which usually disappears within 24 hours.
