XL Hair is a treatment that locally nourishes and (re)activates the hair follicles. The treatment consists of hyaluronic acid, vitamins and growth factors (FGF). Together, these substances ensure that the hair follicles are nourished and reactivated, which results in less hair loss. To perform the XL-hair treatment, hair follicles must be present on the scalp. This is because the treatment does not lead to the creation of new hair follicles but to the reactivation of existing hair follicles.

It is advised to wash your hair the day of the procedure before coming in for your treatment with the Scalpfit Shampoo. The procedure consists of small injections to the hair follicles with a serum made of hyaluronic acid, peptides, amino acids, growth factors, vitamins and antioxidants. New hair follicles can be seen within three months of the treatment.

The U225 intradermal injector gun is used to microneedle the serum into the scalp. The ‘micro-needling’ promotes circulation of the scalp, and the hair follicles are further stimulated by the local nutrition from the serum and increased circulation. It is important that the treatment protocol is followed carefully. For men, this means a package of (at least) 6 treatments and for women (at least) 8, with an interval of 1-2 weeks. Use the prescribed products at home to support the effect of the treatments.

To maintain or further improve the results achieved, it is recommended to come back every 6-8 weeks for a follow-up treatment or repeat the entire course after 6-8 months.

There is typically minimal to no downtime after the procedure. You may experience tingling or itching post-procedure. The punctures to the skin are small and superficial. You will leave the clinic slightly red and swollen, and it typically lasts a few hours to 3 days, depending on the treatment.

After the treatment, do not wash your hair on the same day. We recommend avoiding heat sources such as saunas and hot showers for the first 48 hours. Furthermore, we advise you not to dye during the treatment, as this is bad for your hair follicles. It can negatively affect the effect of the treatment. The next day after your treatment you can start using the Hair Energizer Spray. Massage the spray into the scalp after washing with Revitalix shampoo.
